![]() ![]() There are so many directions you can go, be a ninja, a spec-ops commando, a scientist, a psionic, a barehanded untouchable monk. And it is kind of advisable to look up some guides on how skills work, what are the tresholds understand feats and study other builds in order to be able to come up with one of your own, that suits your preferences. Second, there's a huge enjoyment that's coming from thinking out your own character build, at least as much as what you might had in the Fallout games, if not more. There are some interesting dialogues and quests here too. So not just level up and distribute skills (which is what the word got degraded to nowdays). Some might have direct consequences, some only later, but because of all this, you can really, actually roleplay. Quests you can approach and finish differently according to your playstyle and skills and of course personal alignment. In order to get the most enjoyment out of the game, you have to appreciate two things, the ones that happen to be the strength of this game.įirst is the roleplaying, meaning that there are multiple paths that will shape the world, you can ally with several major factions, different oligarchs, incursive hi-tech military regime, freedom fighters labelled terrorists and they all close out each other's path. TL DR main quest story is pretty good actually, but it's not the point of the game.I did not play Atom, so I can only provide an opinion about UnderRail. We were really inspired by games like Fallout 1-2 or Morrowind, where the main plot was basically an excuse to send you on an adventure of discovery and hijinks around diverse locations. Its main quest is just a slightly prettier single string in this net. ![]() All these little stories, some of which, I must warn, were specifically written to be boring and very mundane (since there are boring and mundane people in every group) entangle into the huge metaplot of Trudograd. Some stories are mundane, some pretty disturbing, some are based around our favorite sci-fi, etc. Every person has a story, some secret, some relationship to other people around the big city, and usually a quest to give you. Every single NPC in our character, around 500 as far as I remember, have at least 5 dialogue options, usually more. The game is oldschool inspired, open world, and very text heavy, but we don't lean on the main plot. You can get companions, two at the moment, maybe more later when we develop a small free dlc for the game as is traditional for our team. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
